Mozilla Sync is great and works very well for me. But one thing I wish it did was allow me to prevent it syncing the browser home pages.

Currently, if we sync bookmarks between N browsers, they all end up with the same home page.

However, the browsers are usually in different locations (e.g. work, home, laptop) and I might not want them to have the same home page everywhere. I want work and home to have a different home page.

Maybe am extra checkbox in the "custom settings" options :

[x] Sync home page

Reproducible: Always
the pref controlling this can be turned off in
about:config - services.sync.prefs.sync.browser.startup.homepage = false

there is no plan to make UI that would allow choosing which individual prefs are synced or not.
Thanks for the update. I can confirm that the config setting is all that is needed and that it seems to work. So, this "bug" can be resolved, as far as I am concerned (not sure if I can (or should) do this).
Resolving as per comment 2.
