Thanks Irina. When does this page need to go live?
That would be the week of September the 13th, when beta 1 goes live.
Attached file direction for design
Postcard print functionality removed. I updated the direction doc accordingly.

Got it, thanks Irina. Normally I'd like to have a little more advance notice (just a general fyi) but I think we can make this work.

Mike, do you think Zemoga is still an option?
Hi,

I was wondering if there is any update on this or if you have any questions.

Thanks,
Irina
Mike A had mentioned that he was talking to Zemoga about this for both the creative and development, but I guess that fell through.

We'll pick this up for page design, although I'm still not sure about the development side of things. Morgamic, is this one on your radar?

Lee, please ping me about this tomorrow morning.
Quick update: Lee is working on this and should have the design finalized by early to mid next week. We still need to talk through the WebDev resources, though...Mike A, let us know what you think when you're back on Wednesday.
Zemoga is still an option--I will follow up with them today. Keep me posted on design eta.
Thanks. We'd like to get the beta and campaign page "Go Mobile" up and running as soon as possible so we can localize and QA. We're about a week behind in our planning thus far.
Hi all,
I'll be posting mock-ups shortly. Stay tuned...

Mock-ups uploaded here:
http://intothefuzz.com/leetom/Mobile%20SMS/JPG/

- Since I used the "You are invited" with envelope screengrab for the video thumb, I defaulted the hero to the Mobile Carpet Dude. I tried using the Envelope for the hero image, but felt that it looked odd along side the "Go Mobile" and subheader. If you guys would like to try something else there, maybe the satellite?, I'd be happy to swap it in.

- Two versions of layout, same content

- The popped up functionality is screengrabbed from Youtube, but I added the "Click to copy" button, as requested.

- Postcard templates are obviously FPO, with halo denoting which template is selected.
Looks good. I am partial to format 1a/b because it feels more like there are three clear options for participation. I am fine with the magic carpet guy.
Two thoughts:

- it feels like it takes a while for the main content to really kick in...can we tighten things up so more is above the fold? To that end, maybe we should rethink the template for this page...do we even need the illustration or beta wordmark? What if we just led off with a headline and then the 'main' content? Maybe the flying carpet guy gets worked into the area inside the box to add a little color there (not saying you have to, just throwing out ideas).

- I'd like to see more calls to action here...what are we asking users to do? What's the main thing we want them to see?
I agree. Maybe the intro text can er, introduce the users announcing 3 ways to spread the word about Mobile. If I were to break up the 3 ways, maybe into separate, stacked boxes - we could maybe come up w/ 3 strong CTAs. ie:

- Share video
- Get a kit
- Send postcard

The CTAs might help anchor the users eyes to their preferable method. It may be more easily scannable that way, too...?
Agreed. I like your CTAs, Lee. Let me think about them as well.
I like the designs, too and the suggested modifications. Two extra comments:

- when I wrote the design direction the Youtube share function did not have so many sharing options and as a matter of fact it also changed since Lee made the screenshot. I think it makes sense to reduce that to email, Facebook, Twitter.

- the MV address is twice, it should be the one from the Paris office

Thanks

I agree that too many options may scare off some sharing, but it is supposed to be viral, so we should provide more than three ways to share. Vimeo, Digg come to mind.

Can you please provide the paris office address in the bug for Lee?
Thanks for the feedback.
Here are the latest mock-ups for you to review:

http://intothefuzz.com/leetom/Mobile%20SMS/JPG/

- FPO subheader to introduce 3 ways to spread the word
- sectioned each share method in separate boxes
- added strong CTA to ea box making page more scanable
- corrected Mozilla paris address
- revised share function box to 5 share options

Hope these changes help with your above concerns,
Lee
Caitlin, Irina...any thoughts?

This page is definitely getting better, but it still feels a little dry to me. The Firefox 4 Beta logo + the Go Mobile headline/subheadline push the "main" content down quite a bit. Do we need both of those?

Also, it gets kind of boxy down below...what about combining the three boxes into one giant space? Right now they all feel pretty disconnected. I'd also suggest adding a 1-2-3 to make it the "three ways you can get involved" more clear.

Do we have images of any of the items that'll be in the mobile kit? Would be nice to show those as well.
Sorry for the delay. I am waiting on approval before I am/was going to add some new copy in the "Get a Kit" section (which I'd like to break down into "Get a Kit", "Get a Shirt" and "Get a Phone" section. (Basically first 1000 cards will get a pack, we'll pick weekly random winners for shirts and out of the entire pool by end of beta, we will pick 5 winners to receive an Android phone).

I like your idea of 1) 2) 3) which implies they do all three. I wish there was so reward for doing all three, or sending the beta link on, but I guess that's more of the focal point of the /beta landing page, not the campaign page.

Re images: we have the browsing without border t-shirt image, which would be cool to show. Plus we can show an generic Android device...
Also, Morgamic, any confirmation on development of this site. We're ready to go with the /beta landing page even if we're still nailing down some details on this campaign site. That said, I'd like to get this page nailed down by EOD tomorrow so we can get this to development. Let me know your thoughts on the matter.
New mockup coming soon!
FYI, we have an in-house dev lined up to work on this once the designs are ready.
Hi all,
Please take a look at new mockups here:

I'm definitely liking this a lot more. One thing, though, is that it might look like the shirt is in all the kits. Could you put a little circular burst on it that says something like "Win a free t-shirt!" or something like that?

Caitlin, Irina...any thoughts?
Great. I am liking this as well and agree with Slater's comments. One thing for Get a Kit section -- I don't think we'll need a button so perhaps you can make a button around or emphasize "Send us a postcard with your email address" above the addresses instead. Any thought here?

For the Get a Kit section, please tweak copy to read:

"Mail a postcard from where you're from and we'll send you a Firefox Mobile Kit that includes stickers, buttons, bracelets and more to share with your friends. Make sure to include your email address on your card so we can contact you and send you a Kit.
Refreshed 4a and 4b, with new changes!
Looks good to me!
Looks great to me too. Lets get /beta page and this campaign page of the WebDev!

I have attached the copy for the campaign page in a .doc file.

Nice work ! But on the satellite one, the text "try the beta at firefox.com/m/beta" seems to me hard to read because a little bit too lighty (background effect is too wide or too strong).
