Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.8) Gecko/20100722 Firefox/3.6.8
Build Identifier: Gecko/20100802 Thunderbird/3.1.2

I use non-HTML style composition windows and can't seem to change the composition window display font for my eyes. The display font setting under options only changes incoming non-html emails display fonts. Composition window font remains unchanged.

The default non-html composition font style changed in the new Thunderbird for some unnecessary reason and there currently appears to be no way for Thunderbird users to revert or set to their liking.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to Tools/Account, composition & addressing screen. Uncheck "Compose in HTML"
2.Compose an email
3. Tools/options on the display tab, try changing the font.
4. Open a new compose window to find this had no impact.
Actual Results:
Incoming emails have this newly set display font specified in the options/display tab but new composition window for non-HTML emails remain unchanged.

Tools/options, Composition tab applies only HTML composition default font. A section should be added under display for non-html composition or thunderbird should simply copy the 'display' font set and use that when non-html composition windows are being used.

Expected Results:
Be able to change the composition window font to match the default Display font.
Hello Bob,

Menu: Options (or Preferences) -> Display -> Formatting -> Fonts & Colors -> Advanced

On "Monospace", replace the font style and size, if you need.

It resolve your question?
