while editing that file Mac OS X Hints (http://www.macosxhints.com/) redirects to http://hints.macworld.com/ and BBC News (http://news.bbc.co.uk/) is now http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/
(In reply to comment #0) > Should we replace it with MacUpdate.com ? I'm inclined to say "yes"; they've become a lot better behaved wrt linking over the years, and they implemented an OpenSearch definition just so that we would list them on our search engine pages. This has l10n implications, so we won't do it for 2.0.x (although I suppose we could have Marcello run a find-replace on the .lprojs, if we think the CNet site is really bad enough to make new 2.0.5 users question our judgement).

I'm fine with MU, I suppose. I wish there were another, better site. :(

here is a patch that replaces VT with MacUpdate and corrects the 2 URLs noted in comment 1
Comment on attachment 473860 [details] [diff] [review] patch for Camino 2.1 r=ardissone When this lands, we'll need to remember to update http://wiki.caminobrowser.org/Development:Localization_Policies (although it appears we give no guidance about that folder; ja has replaced VT with http://macsoft.jp) and make sure that this gets put on a list of changes to remind l10n about, since I'm not sure the tools will pick up these changes.

(In reply to comment #5) > When this lands, we'll need to remember to update > http://wiki.caminobrowser.org/Development:Localization_Policies (although it I updated the wiki page (both to make the guidance about that folder clear, and to note the replacement of VT by MU). Marcello, I updated http://cl10n.rwx.it/node/137 with this bug, too, since it's another sort of change the l10n tools probably won't pick up.
(In reply to comment #2) > This has l10n implications, so we won't do it for 2.0.x (although I suppose we > could have Marcello run a find-replace on the .lprojs, if we think the CNet > site is really bad enough to make new 2.0.5 users question our judgement). We talked about this at the meeting today, and pink was in favor of taking this fix on 2.0.5. Marcello, if it's easiest for you to handle this rather than asking l10n to send you updated files, you can just run a find-and-replace on all the bookmarks.plist files, replacing www.versiontracker.com/macosx/ with www.macupdate.com/ VersionTracker.com with MacUpdate and optionally www.macosxhints.com/ with hints.macworld.com/ news.bbc.co.uk/ with www.bbc.co.uk/news/ Everyone but Japanese (and English, once this lands) has VersionTracker. The last two I care less about because those URLs redirect appropriately; all l10ns have Mac OS X Hints; all but Dutch, Russian, and Turkish have the BBC news.
Flags: camino2.0.5? → camino2.0.5+
And landed on CAMINO_2_0_BRANCH for 2.0.5.

Fine with me to work directly on the localized bundle and to strip all the obsolete bookmarks.
(In reply to comment #9) Not sure how I typo-ed it before, but no ".com" in the find/replace for the title: > www.versiontracker.com/macosx/ with www.macupdate.com/ > VersionTracker with MacUpdate
