The new firefox menu integrates into the window title bar leaving no space for a window icon/window menu. This makes it impossible to close firefox windows by using a double click in the left top corner of the window or access the window menu directly.

The new firefox menu button should be moved to the right to allow space for the standard window menu to be present.

adding our UX lead, Alex Faaborg. Alex, I think this is probably a wontfix. The double-click functionality is nice, and we don't have a good replacement for it as far as I can tell, but it seems mostly incompatible with our current UI.
Direct access will be available through a right click (bug 610763), and is currently available through alt-space. Including an icon next to the button reduces the relative discoverability of the control, and increases the visual complexity of the application.
