User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US) AppleWebKit/534.3 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/6.0.472.53 Safari/534.3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.2.10) Gecko/20100914 Firefox/3.6.10 ( .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET4.0E) Video will start to play, video will stop moving as firefox becomes VERY unresponsive. Only thing I can do is to kill the process. Other flash content sometimes shows up as a gray square confirming there's an error, and that i should reload the page. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install Firefox 3.6.4 or later 2. Watch Youtube (or other flash embedded) video Actual Results: Firefox hangs. Expected Results: duh. Video playing like in chrome or internet exploiter. Happened first time after i updated firefox to the one with crash-protection-separate-plugin-thing-a-ma-jiggy... If I pause the video before it starts playing(while still caching) firefox won't hang. Then it hangs the second I press play. If I kill the plugin-container.exe in task manager, forefox starts working again, but flash is disabled, and the gray box comes up saying "The Adobe Flash plugin has crashed. No report available. Reload the page to try again."

In safe mode, it does indeed not freeze but play videos fluently. I can only imagine it's an addon that's causing this. Maybe AddBlock Plus? Svin83, did you deactivate all addons and try again? In any case, I do confirm that once this update was installed, video and general flash playing was almost impossible on firefox, so while this might be the direct result of a (very popular) addon (as I only have, it's certainly an indirect result of the update. My specs: Win7 64 bit, Core2Duo 2.2GHz, NVidia 8600m GT, 2GB ram.
When i started Firefox in safe mode, it didn't hang at first, but after I played a few videos it stopped responding, and in taskmanager cpu usage for firefox was 0%, then I waited for it to either start responding or throw me an error, and the thing crashed again...
