I dont understand why we want to hide the sync button from the toolbar, as most people will not know about adding it via customize menu. Bad enough we removed it from the status bar (okay sure, debated to death), but if we're gonna have the button as an option, lets at least add it to the default toolbar. On my browser, it looks lovely next to the bookmarks Menu button. Repro: 1) install nightly Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:2.0b7pre) Gecko/20100926 Firefox/4.0b7pre 2) launch a clean profile 3) Verify Sync button is hidden in the customize toolbar menu. If a user wants to see it, they have to add it to the toolbar; which im sure 99.9% of users wont know about it. Expected: - Advertise the Sync button, and include it by default to the Navigation Toolbar (right next to the bookmarks button) Actual: - hidden functionality that should be exposed, especially since Sync in status bar is gone.

Nope. Fewer lucky charms in the address bar, and Sync should "Just work" and be invisible. Those who want to control their Sync experience can do so via the menu options or the customizable toolbar button. I would support a bug that allowed that customizable toolbar button to be placed inside the URL bar, but we've been over this in other bugs. The answer is no.

Everything beltzner said. If you have to click buttons, Sync isn't working as it should.
