Since our meetup in Cologne (see William's blog: http://somethin-else.org/index.php?post/2010/09/24/Cologne-Comunity-Meetup-2010-recap) and quite a while ago, the whole German-speaking community is aware that we need an "official community hub" because the German-speaking Mozilla community sites are scattered. Every project has it's own website. It's hard for users and new contributors to keep track of the projects, our tasks, and the whole community.

A solution would be to have Mozilla.de as a German website with few static pages to show our community, users of Mozilla products, and potential new contributors what Mozilla is and what it stands for, what German product websites and support forums exist, what we are planning/doing, and where we need help.

Now, mozilla.de is redirecting to www.mozilla.com/de and we have planet.mozilla.de for a collection of German-speaking blog posts.

Hi Shyam, could you please point mozilla.de to 78.47.5.173 ?
That's the server of the German Firefox community and currently redirects mozilla.de to mozilla-europe.com, but will start to serve as the German Mozilla community hub in the next few weeks.

Would it be okay to point mozilla.de and www.mozilla.de to 78.47.5.173? Would you like any changes to the MX record? (it currently points to mail.mozilla-europe.org).

Also, I'll leave planet.mozilla.de unchanged, unless you guys are hosting that too.

Do let me know and I'll make these changes.

Yes, please leave that as it is, it will be continued to be served from where it is now.
