After discussing with oremj, morgamic, and releng, we'd like to use Apache rewrite rules on the AUS webservers in order to fix bug 602275.

We will check a file into AUS (mozilla/webtools/aus/xml/bug602275/please_reinstall.xml) which will be in the docroot.

I've tested the attached rules on my local dev box, which has an httpd.conf equivalent to aus2-staging. Note that these rules need to be before the already existing rule:
RewriteRule ^/update/(.*)$ /aus2/app/index.php?path=$1 [QSA]

If these rules looks ok, please load this into /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf on aus2-staging.
