Bookmarks menu is now blank. All saved bookmarks are gone, period. Foxsync and Xmarks addons will not load saved files saying they are corrupted. After following the process to replace the bookmarks file in the profile folder the browser will not load the good, replacement file of bookmarks.

A possible contributing factor is at launch of Firefox my start page never loads. I always get two tabs (in the past few days three tabs). The first is "Welcome to the improved Firefox 3.6," the second is a search/start page, and the third is the colorfultabs addon home page.

I am sorry I do not have any idea how to fix or reproduce the issue. I am not a trained programmer.
