User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.11) Gecko/20101012 Firefox/3.6.11 ( .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET4.0E)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.11) Gecko/20101012 Firefox/3.6.11 ( .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET4.0E)

Firefox does not seem to support the keyboard method for accessing the main window popup (the menu that typically displays the following options: Restore, Move, Size, Minimize, Maximize, Close) -- either by pressing ALT, then pressing SPACE or UP-ARROW. I can still access this popup menu by clicking the upper left of the window (the firefox symbol in the left corner of the title bar), but attempting to access it by the mentioned keyboard methods causes firefox to instead issue a "beep" type sound.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open firefox.
2. Press and release the ALT key. The File menu will be highlighted.
3. Press the spacebar.
Actual Results:
The file menu was un-highlighted, and a "beep" sound was emitted from the speaker.

Expected Results:
The main window popup that looks like
----------------------
Restore
Move
Size
Minimize
Maximize
----------------
Close ALT+F4
----------------------

should appear.
Hmm working here in 3.6.11 and 4.0, do you have any 3rd party software installed that might be getting in the way?
Just to make sure it's clear, ALT+SPACE does seem to work (i.e. press and hold alt and without releasing also press spacebar), but ALT then SPACE (i.e. press and then release alt, then press space) fails. I only see this issue in firefox; other programs (notepad, internet explorer, lotus notes, etc.) behave as expected.

I tried disabling all add-ons and rebooting my machine, but saw no change. As far as I know the only external programs I have installed that might interact in some way would be:
McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.5.0.781
McAfee AntiSpyware Enterprise 8.5.0.163
or
Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.6.2.46

My firefox add-ons:
Extensions:
  Java Console 6.0.10
  Java Quick Starter 1.0
  Microsoft .NET Framework Assistant 1.2.1
  Nuke Anything Enhanced 1.0.2
  Woot Watcher 1.0.7
Plugins:
  Adobe Acrobat 7.0.8.218
  DivX Web Player 2.0.3.4
Java Platform SE 6 U10 6.0.100.32 (SE binary and DLL helper)
  Microsoft Office 2003 11.0.5510.0
  Microsoft DRM 9.0.0.4503 (both items)
  Mozilla Default Plug-in 1.0.0.15
  Quicktime Plug-in 7.1 7.1.0.210
  Shockwave Flash 10.1.85.3
  Windows Genuine Advantage 1.9.9.1
Windows Media Player Plug-in Dynamic Link Library 3.0.2.629
  Windows Presentation Foundation 3.5.30729.1
I see, we don't handle the 'space' properly in our menu bar. I'm not sure if the upper level code has the ability to trigger the system menu at this point. We might need to add something for that.
