Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:2.0b6) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b6 Build Identifier: Thunderbird 3.1.5; Lightning 1.0b2; Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.23) Gecko/20090812 Lightning/0.9 Thunderbird/2.0.0.23 Mnenhy/0.7.6.666 It seems webcal:// URLs are not supported at all, and when subscribing to a remote calendar in this way, all events from all remote calendars disappear from week view. Changing the URL of the newly subscribed calendar to http:// works just fine after restarting Thunderbird. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a new calendar "On the Network" 2. Choose format iCalendar 3. Add (valid) URL starting with webcal:// Actual Results: No more events are displayed in week view (i.e. the view is completely empty), all the other views (day, multiweek, month) remain working. "Reload remote calendars" does not help, restart of Thunderbird is required to fix the view.

Do you use a proxy? If yes what are your settings in Thunderbird? Maybe seeing bug 442913? Keep in mind that webcal:// is no official URI scheme. You can always use the official http:// URI scheme instead. What Lightning version do you use? Obsolete Lightning 0.9 as written in comment #0 or Lightning 1.0b2 as set in the version field?

I use Lightning 1.0b2, no proxy. I need to take back the reproducibility: I observed it on another occasion after upgrading to Thunderbird 3.1.6 when adding an iCal calendar using the http:// URI scheme. This time I was in the day view and subsequently this view was "empty" while all other views were still populated. However, it may just be fluctuation and I'll report back if I can narrow down the problem.

The bug showed again in a different context: This time I was adding a remote CalDAV calendar using the https:// URI scheme. For information: it was a shared google calendar and I had already been authenticated with the google CalDAV interface since I was already accessing a number of remote google calendars via CalDAV. After restarting Thunderbird the calendars load fine. I'm using Thunderbird 3.1.10 and Lightning 1.0b2 on Ubuntu natty 64bit.

Confirming the bug as in the previous comment after updating to Thunderbird/5.0 and Lightning/1.0b5 on Ubuntu natty 64bit. This time the month views was affected after adding a CalDAV calendar as before. Possibly related console error messages: Error: An error occurred updating the cmd_delete command: [Exception... "'[JavaScript Error: "cards[i] is null" {file: "chrome://messenger/content/addressbook/abResultsPane.js" line: 158}]' when calling method: [nsIController::isCommandEnabled]" nsresult: "0x80570021 (NS_ERROR_XPC_JAVASCRIPT_ERROR_WITH_DETAILS)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://global/content/globalOverlay.js :: goUpdateCommand :: line 80" data: yes] Source File: chrome://global/content/globalOverlay.js Line: 86 --- Error: Error Parsing ICS: uncaught exception: [Exception... OS: Windows 7 → Linux
Summary: All remote calendars disappear from "Week" view when trying to add remote iCal calendar through webcal:// url → All remote calendars disappear from current view after adding remote iCal/CalDAV calendar
Version: Lightning 1.0b2 → Lightning 1.0b5
