The feedback button it should appear only if i add in customize toolbar
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:2.0b8) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b8

Able to reproduce. Open customize toolbar and remove "Feedback" button from firefox window and move to customize toolbar. Restarting firefox loads the feedback button again.
A patch to fix the toolbar reset after a restart has been landed yesterday and is part of todays nightly build. IMO it's a dupe of bug 554279.

This doesn't sound like bug 554279.

So what's different in your opinion? Here we also customize the toolbar and after a restart the customization is reset, means the feedback button is visible again on the toolbar.
No, it doesn't, bug 554279 would cause the button to disappear when it shouldn't after restart.
Well, the button is part of the default set of the toolbar. So removing it and doing a restart restores the default set, which means the feedback button re-appears.
1. it's not part of the defaultset.
2. bug 554279 isn't about the defaultset being built, it's about the currentset being built without extensions' items.
Summary: The "feedback botton" restores automatically after a restart of Firefox → The "feedback button" restores automatically after a restart of Firefox
I am with the original complaintant. I seldom (if ever) actually look at the Microsoft (un)inspired bail-out X at the upper right corner. The only time this has been a problem has been with the Mozilla "feedback" button as it resets and/or reappears. I know that I have already asked this question and that it has been addressed, because I corrected the problem. However, Firefox 4 beta 10 reintroduced this irritating problem. Blowing everything off (from add-remove programs applet) and then re-installing beta 9 (which did work) does NOT reset this problem.

For this aggravation, I can beta IE9. How do I change the default toolbar values permanently, so that feedback does NOT reappear?
I get this on Beta 12 in Snow leopard. Is the button going to be there in Firefox 4 final?

No, Testpilot will not be included in Firefox 4 final, but users can still have this add-on installed.

Thanks. For a minute there, I thought this bug may be in the 4.0 release.
Mostly only for beta users because the extension has been shipped with the application and gets installed into the users profile.
Severity: minor → S4
