Details
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:2.0b8pre) Gecko/20101026 Firefox/4.0b8pre When the add-ons manager is open it consumes >3% of cpu load while in idle mode. Once you close it, the cpu load goes down to 0%. Not sure what's causing this load. Are we running any tasks at a high rate while the manager is open? Steps: 1. Start Firefox with a fresh profile and close all tabs 2. Open the Add-ons Manager After step 1 you will see a 0% cpu load, which will raise to >3% after you have opened the add-ons manager. Wait some seconds after the spike goes down to check the consistent level of cpu load.

We shouldn't be doing anything while the add-ons manager is open

Possibly the same as bug 341749, bug 420254, bug 429929, and bug 432035?

I can't reproduce this on OS X 10.8.5 with either Nightly 29 or Aurora 28.
