Reproducible: Always

It is not default situation. I have menubar enabled, a titlebar enabled and firefox button disabled : it requires less mouse movements to use menu in this layout. And I have 20'' screen. So there is a lot of space to place menubar into titlebar without loosing anything. https://imgur.com/a/8R12R

(In reply to KOLANICH from comment #3) Oh, I misunderstood the titlebar is enabled, sorry to bother caused.

You need to disable the title bar if you want the menu bar be drawn up there. If you enable the title bar, it's intentional that no other UI is rendered up there.

(In reply to Helder from comment #7) > And how do I disable the titlebar (on Firefox 29.0, Linux Mint)? There's no way to do this at the moment on Linux. That would be bug 513159.
>If you enable the title bar, it's intentional that no other UI is rendered up there.
What's the purpose of this decision?

The idea is that users can get a native title bar that behaves just like in any other native application.

It is possible to render menu above native titlebar.

I didn't say it was technically impossible. This was primarily a design choice. Rendering stuff over the native title bar effectively subverts its nativeness, e.g. it would overlay long window titles or hinder the ability to drag the window anywhere from the title bar.

>it would overlay long window titles Very long window titles can go out of screen even the whole titlebar is empty. But I have never experienced such long window titles. In the case of long text the solution can be to make menu semitransparent. >hinder the ability to drag the window anywhere from the title bar. When titlebar is disabled it drags fine. So I see no problem in it. Also, what about adding non-native "titlebar"?
