It would be useful if you could mark an email so that Thunderbird keeps a track of it to see if a response was received within a specified time period.

In todays email-overloaded society I've noted that many emails sent to people do not get a reply, yet if a follow-up message is sent then the recipient tends to respond to apologise and answer the original question.

Further more, if would be useful to have an automated reminder system which could optionally alert the sender AND/OR email the recipient after a certain time had passed.
