You are probably going to need help from http://support.mozilla.com/ to get further with this one. The above crash information comes from the Microsoft Windows dialogs, but our own crash reporter should have caught the problem first and instead offered to send the information to us instead (unfortunately the above crash information is just a summary and we'd need the rest of the data for context). How quickly does it crash? Does any part of Firefox start drawing to the screen or do you just get the above crash message? I'm guessing this happens very very early in the startup process, that would at least explain why our own crash reporter dialog couldn't come up. And that, in turn, probably points to some incompatible software service (maybe even malware) installed on your machine. You could try starting Firefox in "Safe Mode" which does things like disables Firefox add-ons, and temporary resets your prefs to the defaults. If that makes the problem go away then we've narrowed the problem down to the kinds of things "Safe Mode" turns off and we can explore that. If that _doesn't_ help then we'll have to investigate other possibilities. Instructions on safe-mode here: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode When did this start? Did you change anything on your computer around that time, update something? You apparently have the latest version of Firefox (3.6.12) -- has that new version always had a problem or did it work OK for a couple of days first?

I don't see anything indicating that this needs to be security-sensitive and we haven't heard back from the reporter, so resolving this incomplete.
