I've found that Minefield renders 2d _really_ slowly with d2d enabled on my Windows 7 laptop. I talked to Joe, and he said that we should blacklist the driver. Not sure if you need them, but the specs are: Lenovo W500 Laptop ATI Mobility FireGL V5700 Vendor ID: 1002 Device ID: 9591 Adapter RAM: 512 Adapter Drivers: atiumd64 atidxx64 atiumdag atidxx32 atiumdva atiumd6a atitmm64 Driver Version: 8.641.1.0 Driver Date: 8-24-2009 Direct2D Enabled: false DirectWrite Enabled: false GPU Accelerated Windows: 1/1 Direct3D 9 These are the most recent drivers available.

Joe, what makes you think the driver is to blame?

We should blacklist _something_ if it's slower than software. It can be the device.
OS: Mac OS X → Windows 7
