I just downloaded and installed 4.0b7.  When I went to the add-on page, it said I was running 3.0.1 and would not let me install anything.

Feedback button on toolbar won't let me use it to report the bug because it thinks I'm not running the current version.

Help|About shows 4.0b7.  Title bar shows 4.0 Beta 7.
