The characters appear to be stuck together. Reproducible: Always I am using Windows 7 with Clear Type option turned off. I am also using custom fonts for the menus and window text (Tahoma 8pt).

Is it the exact same profile? Can you please check in the advanced pane of the preferences dialog what happens when you disable hardware acceleration?

Reporter, do you have Cleartype enabled on your box? Can you also please check with a fresh profile for Firefox? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Managing+profiles

The ClearType is disabled. I created a fresh profile, but it doesn't help.

Could you also please try with a fresh Windows user? Would be good to know if any settings of your Windows profile is causing it.

I created a fresh Window user, but the problem persists. I have also updated drivers for my video card, but it didn't help either.

Thanks. Marcia or Juan, do we have notebooks with an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470 or similar in the lab?
