Assuming some mechanism to automatically delete newsgroup messages is implemented (bug 61498) ... A suggestion for enhancing this: allow setting the number of newsgroup messages to keep by newsgroup, or at least by server. I would like to keep more messages for some ngs than others (high vs low traffic). A global setting for all ngs does not always serve my needs.

this is covered by the other bug - please add your comment there, if you don't mind. 4.x worked the way you want 6.0 to work, b.t.w., with per-newsgroup purging. If you do properties on a newsgroup, you can override the global settings for newsgroup purging.
