Currently, the history menu allows me to go back to a history item in the current tab. Instead, it should have an option like there is in the bookmarks menus of "Open a new tab" (possibly open in a new window too, though i dont really care about that).

middle-click? ctrl+click? Do you mean the History menu (like Firefox > History) or the session history menu (the one that appears on back/forward buttons)?

The History menu should work with middle-click or ctrl+click. I just tried right clicking the back forward and then middle clicking an entry and a new tab was opened as well. Which platform are you on? which version of the browser?

Sorry, at least ctrl+click works. Must have been PEBCAK. Thanks!
