Newsgroups that are moderated should be indicated as such in the lists of newsgroups on the cited page. I suggest the indication could go in the center column.

As bug #598060 is incrementally implemented, the cited page should be kept current regarding indications of moderation.

Reproducible: Always

Users should have some indication of why there are delays in their messages being posted to news.mozilla.org newsgroups. The fact that a newsgroup is moderated will indeed delay posting, at least for the first message from each individual while that individual is added to the white-list.
Depends on: 598060
community-philippines is moderated.

Gerv, if you'd like any design help with adding this to the forums page, or design help in general with this page, I'll be happy to help.
I've added

(Moderated.)

to the text description of each group which is moderated. And I've added a consistency check for this to my checking script, which looks for the flag on the newsgroups.

Look for this change on the site in 30 minutes or so.

The page now has the info but two things :
- At the end, they will almost all be moderated, so saying just that in the description won't be much information anymore
- Somehow I'd rather see that info in the third column

So what I'd see there is a new header, like this :
- Moderation : None
- Moderation : Spam filtered
- Moderation : Announcement only, not for discussions
- Moderation : Check-in only, not for discussions

And maybe one day we'd end up also with :
- Moderation : Spam and off-topic conversations filtered
This was the easiest thing to do for now. When more are moderated, we can enhance it :-)

Re comment #4: It was my understanding that the support newsgroups and the mozilla.general newsgroup would not be moderated.
