Firefox 4 beta 8 cuts off the right side of the zuma blitz in facebook and beta 8 introduced time lags that were not in beta 7 ... it works fine in 3.6.x

This is repeatable every time.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. log in to facebook
2. go to zuma blitz
3. play game
Actual Results:  
cuts off right side of game when playing
ball stutters after you fire

Expected Results:  
should not cut off right side of game when playing
ball should smoothly fire

works correctly in Firefox 3.6.x
What version of flash player do you have?
Flash version 10.1.102.64

Running on the same computer in Firefox 3.6.x does not have a problem... the graphic alignment problem didn't happen in 4.7, only when I installed 4.8, although 4.7 did have a problem with it hanging after one game which 4.8 does not have, but 4.7 did not stutter and 4.8 stutters  (i.e. you shoot the ball and it fires, then halfway through the shot it pauses for a half second) also I noticed that in Restaurant City, the individual graphic elements (i.e. pieces of the walls, etc.) do not line up in 4.8, again, this problem does not appear in 3.6.x.
I ment to say, 4b7 and 4b8  (not 4.7 and 4.8)
Confirming this on Flash 10.2.152.32 and Firefox 4.0 beta 12.
Setting dom.ipc.plugins.enabled makes delays when you click on "play" (you have to wait for few seconds to respond) but it fixes frogs freezing (pausing) when it fires balls.
CONFIRMING that this bug occurs using Zuma Blitz (on Facebook) when running Firefox 4 on Windows Vista Home Edition, 64-bit, Service Pack 2.  There's no cut-off, but there is a serious stutter problem making the Zuma game unplayable.  This bug did NOT occur with Firefox 3.6.

As far as my wife's concerned this is a show-stopper bug; she's un-installing Firefox 4.  Seriously.  She uses Zuma more than the word processor :-).  And she's a writer :-) :-).
David, you are describing a different issue. Please update your graphics card driver and flash to 10.2. Then retest. if you still have a problem, open a new bug.

I don't think it's a different problem, as the original bug described both a cutting off of the screen AND the balls not smoothly firing.
I can also confirm that this happens on Windows XP SP3 32-bit Home Edition as well as Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
The screen cutoff is not there in the current version of Firefox (4.0.1), but the ball does still stutter, and seems dependent on how fast your computer is. It takes longer to start stuttering the faster your computer is, but it WILL do it after not too long, especially if you look at someone's Zuma stats.
I have Adobe Flash Player 10.3.181.14 currently (This is what their website says). I just barely installed it.
Along with everyone's findings, this did not happen in Firefox 3.6. In point of fact, I played the game on 3.6, upgraded to 4.0, and tried to play it, but found this problem.
As someone mentioned—I don't remember if it was here or somewhere else—you can get Zuma to run normally by going into about:config and setting dom.ipc.plugins.enabled to false, which will turn off PluginContainer.exe, but it causes the whole browser to slow down when playing Zuma, and causes a problem where it won't load your detailed scores or XP and mojo for varying amounts of time after a game (also making it so you have to wait until it does load to play another game).
"Firefox 4 can't play Zuma (or other games)" report seems to be widely reported.  Just Google it.  However, I think most of today's Firefox users don't know how to file bugzilla reports; they only know how to complain on forums that aren't read by Firefox's maintainers :-(.

This should NOT be a graphics driver or Flash problem; downgrading to Firefox 3 made it work again, so Firefox 4 shouldn't have regression with the same driver and Flash version.
It could be a driver or flash issue, seeing how Firefox 4 uses hardware acceleration. Does this happen with hardware acceleration turned off?
Yes, it still happens with hardware acceleration turned off.

I have turned off hardware acceleration and this does not fix the issue. The issue does not happen with previous version of firefox or current versions of chrome or explorer. 

My Firefox version 4.0.1 Mozilla firefox EU, euballot 1.1
Windows 7 OS
Flash Player 	10.3.181.14

However i can also advise that other flash based games are affected by performance issues, mainly a slowing of loading or a gradual degradation in performance. Zuma just happens to appear much quicker than others. To me this points to an issue/compatability between flash/Firefox.

This bug was reported using a pre-release version of Firefox 4. Now that Firefox 4.0.1 final has been released, can you please update and retest your bug? A fresh profile would be a good starting place to test,

My wife is unwilling to even try Firefox 4 (or 5), for fear that it might interfere with Zuma.  Can someone else try first and report success, so that we'll have reason to try it too?

Also: can you back off from Firefox 5 to Firefox 3 on Vista if trial run fails, without data loss (e.g., without losing bookmarks)?  Losing history is okay.  Having a backoff plan would make testing lots more likely.
David, please try this.
Create a fresh profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles) this will ensure your bookmarks, history, etc. are preserved. After creating the fresh profile, update to Firefox 5, install the latest Flash player, and install the freshest graphics driver. Test Zuma. If it doesn't work, you can roll back to Firefox 3.6 using http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html (note, Firefox 3.6 will be dropped from support soon, and will not receive security updates)
I've tried creating a fresh profile, and it didn't make a difference. I am running the official release of Firefox 5.0.
Just tried this in Firefox 5, 6 (beta), 7 (Aurora), 8 (Nightly) and it seems to be ok. Only stuttering (a little bit) that happens is when frog is spewing balls.
But on my friends PC there is big stuttering whether I'm using Firefox 5 or 6. Our computers are same, only graphic cards are different (mine Nvidia 8400GS, his Radeon 3870) . Gonna check if drivers are causing that. Btw. using latest Flash Player.
I just want to confirm that this is an issue with a lot of people playing Zuma but most will not come here to report it. I'm on a Mac OS X 10.5.8 I was on FF 3.6 and loved it until the last security update. The problem was exactly as described above. I heard a lot of complaints about FF 4 so didn't upgrade at that time and just reverted to using Safari. After having some different issues with Safari I decided to upgrade to FF 4 and the problem was the same. So I found an old version of FF 3.6 (before that security update) and it works fantastic with Zuma. I update everything I'm supposed to. I don't want to download 5 until I know it will work.
reporter, do you see this issue when using a current version of firefox (version 13 or newer) started in safe mode - http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/safe%20mode - with most current version of flash if appropriate ?
