s.updateSlave() never returns for hung slaves, and so makes the deferred in _updateAllSlaves never fire I believe that the hung slaves in this case are hung due to bug 626486.

Found in triage. As this impacts a class of machines, pushing to PlatformSupport, although would understand if this got bounced elsewhere.

Is this still happening? I have not had a reconfig hung in months after ec2 got fixed and longer than that if we don't count the ec2 problems we had.

We've made a lot of fixes and this really isn't an issue anymore, huzzuh!
