I see a gray (or checkerboard) area to the bottom and the right side has similar rendering issues. Is the viewport meta tag badly specified?

Seems better in landscape.
Summary: ebay.com mobile site doesn't fill the viewport → [web compatibility] ebay.com mobile site doesn't fill the viewport

In Fennec for Android, ebay.com redirects to http://hp.mobileweb.ebay.com/home which includes:

<META name="viewport" content="user-scalable=no, width=device-width, height=device-height">

However, it looks like one of the elements below "Daily Deals" extends past the device width, making the document larger. You can also see this by loading the site in Minefield (with a Fennec user-agent) and making the window narrow.

Reloading the page sometimes fixes the layout.

The page includes some stylesheets with WebKit-specific CSS, though I haven't tested whether that is what breaks the layout.

easy to repro. i've seen many other sites that do this, should we be tracking them in individual bugs?
