I think somewhere between the end of December 2010 and beginning of January 2011, the Mac default theme started to go crazy. It seems like some parts of the theme have problems distinguishing if the window is active (on top) or in the background (see screenshots).

I'll try to shorten the regression range, when I find some time to do it...

This is a core issue, actually. Do you have hardware acceleration off? If you have, this is a dupe of bug 626096. You should be able to see this in DOMi in Firefox as well if you move the selection outside the trees.

I have hardware acceleration off, so this a dupe...

If you want to work-around it, styling the main toolbar (or possibly the status bar) with :-moz-window-inactive { background-color: #EEEEEE; }, should fix it (the background shouldn't change since that toolbar is styled with -moz-appearance)

Perhaps we should work-around it for b2?
