index.cgi currently has a bad heuristic for determining when to use root/index.html (tree list) or ./index.html (per tree root).

there are actually two ways that you can install mxr, the way people are used to seeing it is with multiple roots, e.g.

http://mxr.mozilla.org/
http://mxr-test.konigsberg.mozilla.org/

there's a second way to configure mxr, namely with a single root, i have an instance of that available here:

http://mxr-test.konigsberg.mozilla.org/atest/

you can tell that there's only a single root in an mxr if the /source/ view for the root of the tree you can see doesn't offer 'view using tree', as is the case for:

http://mxr-test.konigsberg.mozilla.org/atest/source/

mxr is gone, mass closing.
