The current mobile promo is a bit tough to read (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/products/download.html?product=firefox-3.6.13&os=osx&lang=en-US)

I'd like to update this to drive clicks to mobile homepage by decreasing copy and bumping up the visual.

-Increase or change phone image to Lee's download phone image.
-Change copy: Header: Get Firefox on your phone
Body: Sync your desktop and mobile, install add-ons and browse with speed. <Learn more.> http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/mobile/

Hey Caitlin - can you attach or point to the image you suggest using here? Also, will any new graphics be needed for this change? I'm not sure if this new image will fit in, or have the same background as, the current module.

I was thinking of the image currently on the what's new page: http://www-trunk.stage.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/4.0b10/whatsnew/ or Lee's version which is the same, but has a green arrow next to it, like on Firefox 4 Beta for Android page: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/mobile/beta/

Hi Caitlin - 

To follow up here: we've talked a bit about adding two promos to the side of this page so that both Spark and the normal Mobile promo could appear at the same time. I had a look and think having both would stretch the page down awkwardly since the content in the main body is pretty brief. 

That said, since the spark campaign will be in that spot during the mobile launch time, can this change be implemented after Spark?  It's a bit too tight to get it in beforehand especially since we'll be touching it soon afterwards.
Yes, that was my understanding. I didn't think they were going at the same time, but would rotate. Thanks -- please proceed with launching Spark promo first and general problem weeks later (1/7?)

Thanks Caitlin. Laura should work out the release calendar, but as a fyi for future reference our Q2 releases will start at 2.0 and proceed up from there.

I'm moving this to the 2.0 release since the Spark promo (as in comment 7 above) will go live at the mobile launch during the 1.5 milestone.

Moving this to go live after the Spark campaign is over.

Which image am I supposed to use? This bug is a bit old and I don't see what you're referencing at those links. Please attach an image so that it stays with this bug.

This should be pretty easy, but it seems like requirement have changed over time. Is the original copy still correct?
The original copy should be correct. Caitlin - can you confirm?

This promo has changed in bug 652199. It now includes markup and the mobile promo is shorter with different copy. Here's how it looks now:

My computer was turned off, I should figured out a better way to share dev sites. But a screenshot works in this case.

Looks good. Anyway to add a small image (similar to the X in Mark up) just to help convey the message (this whole side bar is pretty copy heavy). If so, adding the phone with logo in the middle would be great. Otherwise, the copy and placement looks good. Thanks!
