Clicking a message in list does not show this message in the preview pane.

Double clicking the list item opens the correct message in a new window

Some keys do not work:

- "m", "delete" works

- "cursor up", "cursor down" does not work

- "ctrl-cursor up", "ctrl-cursor down" change focus, but after further presses multiple surrounding boxes stay visible. When a message is clicked all of these disappear


Changing mail folder in sidebar "fixes" the issue for now.

Anything in Tools -> Error console when this happens ?

Reporter, 

do you still see this problem when using a current version of thunderbird? 

And if you do not, please close bug report by changing resolution to worksforme

This has only happened just once and that was with older version of Thunderbird -> closed.
