Works fine for me
Changed the Themes and tabs looks fine as per the theme layout.

Reporter,
Could you please update on these points:
-Screen shot is not a valid one, could you please upload the screenshot if it is still available
-and gtk theme name
Old gtk-theme: elegant (murrine)
New gtk-theme: droid (equinox)

Maybe it ist caused by the gtk-engine switch.
Attached image Tabs screenshot
I tried a few of the equinox themes, but I was not able to reproduce the problem. Most of the equinox themes played well with Firefox, and the default Ubuntu themes work well, too.
Could this be a duplicate of bug 633116 - the theme text for pages and some elements is off and skewed ?
Just noticed, that browsing to chrome://browser/content/browser.xul the tabs look like they should!
Wondering me, cause that should be the same or am i wrong?
