I switched to Thunderbird for its launch speed, now that disappeared. Please advise. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.launch and wait 2. 3.

was your upgrade two weeks ago from v3.1.6? or version 2? 6-8 seconds is not super long for version 3, especially depending on your system and thunderbird profile. That said, these things can impact your launch speed: * add-ons * antivirus software monitoring your profile directory * large inbox or junk folders - minimize the number of messages there * compact your folders on a regular basis * periodically defrag your disk * make sure you have enough memory two references to check: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Keep_it_working_%28Thunderbird%29 https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird:Testing:Memory_Usage_Problems
