Opening a message that is in the inbox of a pop account in TB, the message looks the same as a composing message from myself, to myself. Moving the message to another folder in the same account, the message opens correctly with proper sender and recipient.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. set up pop account
2. receive a message
3. open it to read
Actual Results:  
message was in compose format with my email as sender and recipient

Expected Results:  
it should look as a read message from an external sender

rebuild the index of your inbox should fix this .

do you still see this problem when using a current version of thunderbird? 

And if you do not, please close bug report by changing resolution to worksforme
