Are you able to reproduce this on other sites with footers or is it only a mozilla.com issue? What about multi-touch zooming? What about changing your user agent to Desktop Firefox?

Double-tap zooms to the width of the tapped element. If an element has the same width of the document, then double-tapping it will zoom to show the entire document width. (This changed a bit in bug 621683.) We might re-add a different behavior for elements that are as wide as the entire document. We'd need to use this behavior only when reflow is disabled.

Steps to reproduce: 1. Go to http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/mobile 2. Double tap on the Mozilla logo 3. Double tap on the website title 4. Go to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/mobile/ 5. Repeat steps 2&3 Actual result: After steps 2&3, the app zooms in/out the image element and the title as well. After step 5, nothing happens. Notes: - Please see the following video: http://www.youtube.com/user/qaioana#p/a/u/1/jpzX1mnc5yc - If I double tap on any other elements on the page, nothing happens or the webpage just scrolls down.

For the latest Beta build (FF 10 Beta 4), the zooming works randomly: sometimes it zooms in just a little bit, not only on header/footer, but even on other text/graphic elements from the page body. This issue was reproducible on www.mozilla.org (desktop version). -- Mozilla/5.0 (Android;Linux armv7l;rv:10.0)Gecko/20120111 Firefox/10.0 Fennec/10.0 Device: Samsung Galaxy S OS: Android 2.2
