User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0 Upgrading to Firefox 4 RC made my Bookmarks Toolbar Items impossible to read on Ubuntu, using Ubuntu's default Gnome theme: they are rendered dark grey text on a darker grey background. To save vertical space I have my Bookmarks Toolbar Items in the Menu Bar, to the right of the menu (and don't display the Bookmarks Toolbar). This has worked splendidly on previous Firefox versions, but breaks in version 4, as can be seen in the attached screenshot. The menu bar now takes on the near-black background of the Radiance theme's title bar, and displays menu items in near-white text. But the Bookmark ToolBar Items have a text colour more appropriate to being displayed on a pale grey background. When one is hovered-over a pale grey background appears around it, making the text readable. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Run Firefox 4 RC on the latest Ubuntu release, 10.10 (Maverick Meercat). 2. Ensure Ubuntu is using its default Gnome theme, Radiance, which has black(ish) title bars and Menu Bar in Firefox. 3. Using ‘View’ > ‘Toolbars’ > ‘Customize...’ drag the Bookmarks Toolbar Items to the space to the right of the menu. Close the dialogue box. Actual Results: The items aren't readable, except when hovered-over. Expected Results: The items should be readable, by having the same white(ish) text colour as the adjacent menu items. (Or having a pale background would do, though visually be less nice.)
