In order to incorporate the Firefox 4 social promos for launch, we would need
to temporarily replace the sidebar links with the following on the roll-back ES
WN/FR page:

- Replace "Siguenos en Twitter" by "Únete a la fiesta Twitter"
(linkto: http://twitterparty.mozilla.org)
- Replace "Hazte fan en Facebook" by "Publicar una insignia en
Facebook" (linkto: http://www.facebook.com/firefox)
Note: final wording for links to be signed off on by localizers.
Blocks: 643195
No longer depends on: 643195
we have various Spanishes, which one is it ? es-ES, es-MX, es-AR, es-CL
This one: es-ES

Also, same comment as with FR and DE: regarding the facebook badges link: would be better to use this one: http://www.facebook.com/Firefox?v=app_122300121174636
Pascal, change
"Para conseguir lo máximo de su navegador, conozca más sobre las últimas características."
by
"Para conseguir lo máximo de tu navegador, conoce más sobre las últimas características."
we will change publicar by publica to keep the same tense as well.
changes checked in r85970, Gregory please verify

Checked and looks good except that I don't see the tracking ids.
I talked with Laura and she asked me to remove them, she won't have time to manage the tracking
In this case, this is good to go. Thanks!
How long is this change needed?

Before seeing the results we are getting from other es-XX whatsnew pages, I think it's better to point to Mozilla Hispano facebook and twitter page.

When users go to twitter party or facebook badges page, they participate just once, but if they follow @mozilla_hispano or our facebook page, they are going to be regularly updated with information about Firefox and mozilla in Spanish.

This way we are getting a long time relationship with our users.
Sorry, I mean "After seeing the results..."
Hi Rubén,
I understand your concern about driving traffic to your community pages. Building long-term relationships with our users is key but right now, our priority is to maximise the impact of the Firefox 4 launch (desktop + the upcoming mobile launch). These links help us do so by providing an easy way for any user to show their support while spreading the word about Firefox 4 (even user who don't feel like joining the community).

As I already discussed with Pascal, I will update this bug as soon as the launch peak is behind us in order to revert the links to the mozilla Hispano Facebook and Twitter pages so that you guys are the permanent destination and get constant quality traffic going forward.

I believe this is a reasonable compromise and hope you feel so too. I am happy to discuss this in more details (e.g. on irc - my alias is 'gregoryjost') if you feel otherwise.
Hi all,

Berni writing from Mozilla Hispano.

Proposal. Does it make sense to wait until next April 22th and get back those links through Mozilla Hispano urls? It would be 1 month after launching.

Thanks in advance for your comments.
Ping again.

Does Berni's comment #13 make sense for everyone?

PD: Reopening since this is a temporally change and should be resolved when the changes are back to the original.

Hi guys,
Reverting to the initial links is a go on my end so the changes live soon (see bug 643195).

Can't access bug 643195, it's private.
Sorry about this.
Basically, we will be reverting between the 22nd and the 26th.
Committed in r87613.
