Can you elaborate? What I think you're trying to say doesn't happen for me so I'd like to better understand the problem.
If you want the STR use these:
1. Open an App Tab
2. Open a couple of normal tabs
3. Close Firefox with a normal tab active
4. Start Firefox and do Restore Previous Session

Expected: The last selected tab should be active
Actual: The last App Tab is active.
