Hey Tara, We need a graphic for the Join Mozilla story in the upcoming Mozilla & You newsletter. There aren't a lot of options for what we could use (the crest would be ideal, but I'm not sure if that's back in play or not): 1) The heart graphic from the Join Mozilla landing page that Lee is using for the mozilla.org promo 2) The T-shirt or card image I'll check in on the crest stuff. In terms of image size, Winston has told me that they need to be high res, bigger than 100x100. We need this by mid-next week if that's possible. Let me know if you have any additional questions and thanks!

Thanks Chelsea. Let me know about the crest, that's pretty key :) Otherwise, we can produce a graphic similar to what we've done before: * Extracting a piece of the scene (with the heart sign) into a small promo * Did you want this to have no text? possible text could be "join mozilla". Otherwise, it might work best to keep the graphic simple and image-only. * In terms of aspect ration, can you give me exact dimensions please? * In terms of time, something by April 13th sounds good?

I will let you know as soon as I can. As for the dimensions, Winston gave me the direction that it only needed to be high res. Winston, can you give Tara/Lee a little more detail for his? April 13 is great, I think. Winston, can you confirm that it gives you enough time? Thanks
Hey Winston, Is there a chance you could send me a screenshot of the newsletter with reference to where this promo would sit? It always helps to design w/ the context in mind. Also, in terms of a "hi-res" image - are you requesting the image source file, or the image in 300dpi (print resolution)? Just wanted to clarify, as the web/newsletter resolution only needs to be 72dpi. Apologies if I missed something!

Hey Lee - 72 dpi will be great. Check out the attached. It will go in place of what you see in Firefox tales.
Thanks for the ref file, Winston. Here's a quicky png w/ JOIN MOZILLA in it. Chelsea, let me know if this works. Thanks!

Hey Lee I think that's totally the right idea. Can we soften or round the edges a little bit on it?

I think the "frame" of the promo block already has a soft / rounded edge. And this would just be inserted in it. In which case, we should be OK. Chelsea do you agree?
I'm pretty sure that rounded border is set in the code. The 100x100px is the hard edged square.

That's what I thought too. In that case, Are we good to close this ?

Here's the JOIN promo in context of the email (under Firefox Tales) with the rounded borders. The copy is obviously wrong for Join, but you can see what the promo will look like w/ that border treatment.

Hey Lee, Can you tone down the red a bit? Maybe use some of the red in from the Mozilla.org promos? It's too stark right now. Thanks!

Hey Chelsea, I'm using the same red as all the other Join Mozilla graphics. I think this will work better now (and seem less stark) that I filled the top right quadrant w/ more of the angry -er, happy mob!

Agree with Lee that we should keep the colors consistent. It's a pretty tiny space to design for... especially since we have the "Join Mozilla" consuming a lot of space. The only thing I an suggest is to reduce the "crowd" graphic and have it feel more like a texture, than focusing in on the individual people. I also think that this looks pretty good overall and if you're happy with it (Chelsea) then we can not overthink and wrap it up :) Let us know how you feel.

Hey Chelsea, can you please do a quick review and let us know if we can close this bug out? Thanks.

Hey guys, Sorry for the delay guys, I was PTO with a migraine yesterday. Feedback from Jane and the rest of the team was that it was too stark. I agree that having the colours consistent is important. I also don't want to overthink or overtinker. Tara can we try your suggestion of making the crowd like a texture? Thanks guys!

Thanks Chelsea. Lee is going to try a few tweaks to address your comments about the design being "stark". It's a challenge because absent the Join Mozilla emblem, the graphic identity of Join Mozilla is rather limiting... especially when it comes to a small canvas size like this promo. So, there's not a whole lot we can do. So, in the interest of time.... I suggest that after Lee makes these last enhancements, that we consider this done and close out. Thanks.

Hi all, Attached is another Join Moz promo. You may find it less stark now: - "Tequila Sunrise" background color - boosted heart/sign graphic - "!" in JOIN MOZILLA!
