The current WebSocket protocol draft is here: http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-hybi-thewebsocketprotocol-06

IMO, the HyBi working group has largely reached consensus on the outstanding major issues and the next few drafts will mostly be wording cleanup and very minor functional tweaks (if any). Also, the handshake now includes the protocol version so the server can determine more easily what version of the protocol it should speak to the UA.

The security concerns that prompted Mozilla and Opera to disable WebSockets by default have been addressed.

I think it's time to update the WebSockets implementation in Firefox and turn it on by default again.

Reproducible: Always

Sigh. I swear I did several searches. Somehow missed it.
fwiw I expect -07 to have minor binary incompatibilies.. that would be the target draft for semantic interoperability imo.
