User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Android; Linux armv7l; rv:6.0a1) Gecko/20110426 Firefox/6.0a1 Fennec/6.0a1
Build Identifier:

Pretty much for the same reasons that the desktop does. This is doubly important on mobile where phishing is on the rise.

Reproducible: Always
OS: Linux → Android
Hardware: Other → ARM
Severity: normal → enhancement
Summary: Present domain in identity box.as we do with desktop → Present domain in identity box as we do with desktop
Not sure how we do this in portrait on phones. Maybe we could do something in landscape on tablets.
We could split the box so as that the identity bit takes up no more than 50% of the url bar and thus truncates the domain.

I will set this to NEW. Should I add some keywords: tablet or landscape?

Suggestion:

How about an icon that you click to drop a menu/tooltip, or a tooltip on
press-and-hold? Another, um, major web browser does this for security information,
helps to conserve space and leave the location bar for as much of the URI
as can fit. User can get the info if desired. (This also leaves room to add
more than just domain name and FAVICON. ;) )

Antecedent: FF has a yellow star icon indicating URI is a bookmark, at the right
side of the location bar.

Like the FAVICON in the current version. ,:}

I unfortunately experienced today how easy it is to get phished on Fennec right now, so I'd like to vote to bring the importance of this up.

It's prolly not easy to integrate this into the UI, but at least making the domain the user is on more obvious could alleviate the problem a lot.

I'm not sure tooltips or clickable things really help, as you might not check those until it is too late.
