After fixing Bug 455683	the Linux 64-bit nightly builds should be available now.

Please include a unified Lightning package that contains both 32-bit and 64-bit binaries for Linux with the next release. This should help users that get Lightning e.g. from addons.mozilla.org to get a working version.

For mac this seems to magically happen automatically, but it didn't work for me during the release. In any case we need to automate this.

This is a workaround script, that could actually be something that buildbot could run in theory. Not sure yet.

For now it runs from an appropriate calendar Linux 64 bit builder with the version number as an argument.

This is currently only really necessary for the AMO build of Lightning, which we could certainly automate and run on TC, but for that we'd have to get the Thunderbird builds on TC first. There won't be any movement on this bug for at least another 3-4 months.

Since TB 52/LTN 5.4 there is no binary component in Lightning and the same XPI works on all platforms. Is this bug still needed?
