Jens, I believe you said you were already working on this...

Starting with "The upcoming Gecko release has been renamed from 1.9.3 to 2.0. (bug 570022)..." the entries in the Major Changes section are repeated after "Absolute length units in CSS..." (seamonkey2.1/changes).

Thanks for noticing, I hope it's better now.

To use a Sync account with multiple devices you need to make sure all of them use the latest version of Sync (i.e. always use the latest beta of SeaMonkey 2.1 in combination with Firefox 4, desktop and mobile) (bug 615950).

---------------

I'm not sure the use of "latest beta" her eis worthwhile. But I have no better suggestion atm.
resolving, since things look relatively good to me.

With the recent release of Flash 10.3 I think we should add a bullet point for Flash cookie (LSO) sanitizing. I already checked that it worked back then with Flash 10.3 beta (on Windows 7). It surprises me a bit that it's not on the Features 2.1 page yet (nor on the Changes page, consequently).
There has been a question in the MozillaZine forums whether 64-bit builds for Mac OSX are available. Do you want to state explicitly somewhere that those are 32/64-bit universal builds (assuming that's the case) and that PPC is no longer supported, given that it's a major change over SM 2.0?

The 2.1 Release Notes contained a note about PPC and 64-bit Mac from the very start, see section "Platform-specific changes". The first point currently reads:

   * Mac OS X 10.4 "Tiger" and PPC support was dropped, 64-bit support for
     10.6 "Snow Leopard" was added.

I'm open to suggestions for improvement there or elsewhere. Stefan, do you think the above is clear enough or should we go into more detail, like talking about universal builds? (Readily formulated bits preferred since I'm not a Mac expert.)

Changed to "(e.g. SeaMonkey 2.1 in combination with Firefox 4, desktop and mobile)".

Included in latest version of relnotes, Changes and Features 2.1.

BTW I just saw that The H picked up our RC:
<http://www.h-online.com/open/news/item/SeaMonkey-2-1-approaches-with-first-RC-1242874.html>

I just sent their editors a note about the following wrong statement:
"SeaMonkey 2.1 is based on the same Gecko layout engine as the 3.6.x branch of Firefox"

Maybe we should add a statement about which Gecko/FF branch we use/follow to our relnotes.

Yeah, I've missed that first, sorry. The confusion on the user's side was that a single download contains both 32/64-bit binaries, whereas they are separated for Linux on the other hand.

I'm not using Mac either, but maybe adding a small half-sentence may help:

> * Mac OS X 10.4 "Tiger" and PPC support was dropped, 64-bit support for
> 10.6 "Snow Leopard" was added [to the universal-build download].

They corrected their article already.
Added Known Issue for Bug 657215 - No search engine selected in Internet Search preferences on new profile

The following should be added as known issue unless it's considered important enough to actually block the release:

When updating a SeaMonkey 2.0 profile to 2.1, the modern and/or default themes may be reported as incompatible with SeaMonkey 2.1 [Bug 657957]. To resolve this issue, drag and drop the two XPI files located in the installation folder C:\Program Files\SeaMonkey\extensions one by one into a SeaMonkey browser window to update the themes, then restart.
The proposed solution in comment #14 is not only complicated for normal users, it's also dangerous for future updates as this installs them into the profile where they should never appear.
Ok, your call. I've only mentioned what I did to resolve the problem... :-)
See bug 657957 comment #2 and following, that's not the right way to do it.
