Firefox produces sounds.

This includes content/media as well as chrome inspired (e.g. bug 655703). Some people like the sounds, some of the time, some don't etc. I (and others) felt it worth a bug, and some Ux/User thinking.

I can easily imagine this being potentially useful as a toggle, somewhere handy. I can supply use case ideas for this bug if necessary.
I believe our current approach here is to let the OS handle it. We don't need more levels of volume controls. :)
