I'd like to be able to hide/show 'chrome' (effectively only the navigation bar) for tabs.

In this extension https://github.com/erikvold/github-address-bar-search-ff-ext I make a Github app tab, and I'd like to hide the chrome for that tab for example.
Just to note, I read somewhere that the UX branch for Firefox currently has app tabs already chromeless by default. If that makes its way into Firefox proper, this bug might become less/more important for everyone, depending on their views of how app tabs should behave.

I do just want to hide the chrome, so if that is default then my use case dnm.

Any idea what bug # that is?
Bug 644721 (585445?) is the main one, followed by bug 657525 and bug 536267 to a lesser extent.
It sounds like this will become the default behavior of Firefox. It also sounds like the kind of thing that might be relevant to a small number of addons (although not sure; it isn't entirely clear what the use case is here). Both suggest that we shouldn't fix this bug and instead rely on Firefox to fix it and/or a third-party API to implement it for addons that want it.
