I have downloaded Firefox 5.0 several times and it comes up infected when trying to install.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Down loaded from Authorized site
2.Try to install comes up as infected.
3.Unable to verify trusted source

Actual Results:  
Unable to install

Expected Results:  
You would expect that from Mozilla site it should be authorized and verifiable.
all official Mozilla downloads are scanned.

How do you know that the file is infected and infected with what ?

Chances are this is a false positive due to the definitions for your anti-virus software. Which anti-virus software along with version are you using?
