A kernel panic or system freeze is always a kernel bug or a bug in a LKM and never a bug in a usermode application.
This can't be fixed by us and hence this report have to be marked as invalid.
Sorry but I hope you get help from the Ubuntu Support.

I don't know if the graphic card "driver" on linux are running in the kernel land but you can try to disable the hardware acceleration in Firefox under tools/options/advanced/general and look if that helps.
Note: This would be still no Firefox bug, it only triggers the issue.
