One of the top complaints we saw on the beta channel is "why am I getting all these updates".  Users don't necessarily know that being on the beta channel means that they'll get more frequent updates and it may not be the right channel for them.

We'd like to add a small notice ("Getting too many updates? Move back to release Firefox" or something like that) on the whatsnew page.

The whatsnew page is no longer used, and Firefox now features silent update.
