User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:5.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/5.0 Build ID: 20110615151330 Steps to reproduce: Intuitively keep looking for the new tab icon above or below the pinned tab icons on the right hand gutter. Actual results: Took a week to discover the button in the lower left corner. /blush Still keep looking above the pinned icons from habit. Expected results: Would like to have an option to relocate the new tab icon in the group window in the tab group GUI.

Will be invalidated by bug 663613. We're gonna remove this button.

Read through bug 663613. Is the functionality being removed as well, or replaced with another method? Was not able to gather that info from 663613. Would still like the ability to open a new tab from the group window instead of the 2-step process. There are many times that I don't know that I want a new tab until I am looking at the tab group in the GUI.

(In reply to comment #2) > Is the functionality being removed as well, or replaced with another method? > Was not able to gather that info from 663613. Bug 663613 depends on bug 663612. You're going to be able to create a new tab in an empty group by clicking it. If the group's not empty we'll zoom into its active tab. You still can create new tabs in the active group with Ctrl+T.

(In reply to comment #3) Sorry for the confusion, I was not referring to a new or empty group; but one that already had several open tabs, each with content I wanted to keep. Example: Reading an article in the "News" group about iSCSI. Switch to the panorama view, don't see any tabs in the "Work" group that I want to replace, so click the new tab icon to activate the group and open a new tab to start the iSCSI search. OTOH, while playing around in the panorama, discovered that double-click performs the same function, i.e. activate the group and open a new tab. So if it is not tied to the above bugs, would be nice to have it documented in help. Thanks for the info!
