Bug 563274 removed nsPromptService, which notified nsIDialogCreator about
new modal dialogs (like alert, confirm etc).

I think the merge from e10s to m-c happened after Bug 563274, and the changes 
which were done in bug 548847 were lost.

I'm not at all familiar with the new modal dialog handling.
Would it be easy to bring back the functionality which DoDialog used to have

alerts are now tab model and we've deprecated showModalDialog. Anything else should be handled on a per case basis
