Attached image Firefox normal window
Build ID: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:6.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/6.0

Steps to reproduce:
1.Launch Firefox on a clean profile and load http://www.java.com/en/download/testjava.jsp or
www.java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml .
2.Scroll down and up in the page.

Actual results:
The text in the website is scrambled or mixed with the other items in the page.

Expected results:
The website should scroll just fine without scrambling the content.

*Note* it also happens on Nightly:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:8.0a1) Gecko/20110810 Firefox/8.0a1
It works just fine on Vista X86 and XP.
Similar behavior when on websites with shockwave content.
Example pages:
http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome/
http://www.chemgapedia.de/vsengine/info/en/help/requirements/shockwave.html

For both test cases java and shockwave the system used had the following plugin specifications:

Shockwave Flash

    File: NPSWF32.dll
    Version: 10.3.183.5
    Shockwave Flash 10.3 r183

Java(TM) Platform SE 6 U26

    File: npjp2.dll
    Version: 6.0.260.3
Next Generation Java Plug-in 1.6.0_26 for Mozilla browsers
Summary: Scrolling in the java.com test page scrambles the content → Scrolling in web pages with java and shockwave scrambles the content

Maybe hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/f2959b949445 ?

Does this happen on Firefox 5?
I'm unable to reproduce this on any version of Firefox -- however, I am using a VM. Can someone who can reproduce this on Firefox 6 please try to reproduce this on Firefox 5? Thanks
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:5.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/5.0.1
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:5.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/5.0

It reproduces on Firefox 5.0 and 5.0.1.
I can still still reproduce this issue on 10.0.4ESR.

Closing old bugs in the Plugins component. We aren't going to track issues in 3rd-party plugins in the Mozilla bug tracker. In addition, support for NPAPI plugins will be removed at the end of this year; for more details see the post at https://blog.mozilla.org/futurereleases/2015/10/08/npapi-plugins-in-firefox/

If there is a serious bug in Firefox, it needs to be filed in the "Core" product, "Plug-Ins" component.
